Directions to Avon Office - 24 East Main Street, Avon CT 06001

 

From Avon west of the
Center and Canton:

Take Route Route 44 to the intersection of Rts. 44 and10 in the center of Avon (white church with steeple). Get in the middle lane as you approach the intersection. Cross the intersection and make sure you end up in the left lane on the other side. A traffic light comes up quickly marking the entrance to Old Avon Village North. Take a left into the complex. We are in the yellow building (formerly occupied by Companions and Homemakers). If you are familiar with the Village's Rocking Chair, we are located diagonally across from the Rocking Chair. The main entrance is in the rear.

 

 

From Simsbury and Points North:         

Take Route 10 south toward Avon. Follow Route 10 until you get to the intersection of Rts. 10 & 44 (white church with steeple). Get in the far left lane as you approach the intersection. Go left (east) and remain in the far left lane. A traffic light comes up quickly marking the entrance to Old Avon Village North. Take a left into the complex. We are in the yellow building (formerly occupied by Companions and Homemakers). The main entrance is in the rear.

Alternate approach - Just before you reach the big intersection at 44 & 10 (white church), take a left onto Enford Street (as if you are going to the Avon Post Office or the Museum), take a left at the little T-intersection and then a sharp right on to Mountain View Avenue. Follow that along and just before you get to Rt. 44 you will see an entrance to the Village North complex on your right, take a right into the exit and follow to the yellow building. Main entrance is in the rear.

From Farmington, Points South and Interstate I-84.    

Take the Exit 39 (Farmington/Route 4) exit from I-84. Take the connector into the center of Farmington (golf club on your right). At the big intersection, take a right and proceed north on Route 10/Waterville Road to Avon. Follow Route 10 for approximately 6 miles until it intersects with Route 44 in Avon (Avon Old Farms Hotel and Restaurant on right). Take a left at the big intersection. Get into the right lane. The second light after you make your turn is the entrance to Old Avon Village North. Take a right into the complex. We are in the yellow building (formerly occupied by Companions and Homemakers). The main entrance is in the rear.

Alternate approach - Just before you reach the 2nd traffic light, take a right onto Mountain View Avenue (note on right red building which is a doctors' office). Coming right up is an entrance to the Village North parking lot. Take a left into the parking lot and proceed to the yellow building. The main entrance is in the rear.

From Hartford and Points East.  

To use I-84, follow the directions above (From Farmington).

"Coming over the Mountain" - Follow 44 over Avon Mountain until you get to the big intersection at the bottom (note Avon Old Farms Inn and Hotel). Proceed through the big intersection. Get into the right lane. The second light after the big intersection is the entrance to Old Avon Village North. Take a right into the complex. We are in the yellow building (formerly occupied by Companions and Homemakers). The main entrance is in the rear.

Alternate approach - Just before you reach the 2nd traffic light, take a right onto Mountain View Avenue (note on right red building which is a doctors' office). Coming right up is an entrance to the Village North parking lot. Take a left into the parking lot and proceed to the yellow building. The main entrance is in the rear.

From the West:

Take I-84 East to Exit 48B (Capitol Avenue)
At the end of the ramp, proceed straight through the light onto Oak Street
Capitol Place is the first building on the right
Parking is located beneath the building.

From the East:

Take I-84 West to Exit 47 (Sigourney Street)
At the end of the ramp, take a left
At the next light take a left onto I-84 East
Proceed to first exit, Exit 48B (Capitol Avenue)
At the end of the ramp, proceed straight through the light onto Oak Street
Capitol Place is the first building on the right
Parking is located beneath the building

From the North:

Take I-91 South to Exit 30 (I-84 West)
Take I-84 West to Exit 47 (Sigourney Street)
At the end of the ramp, take a left
At the next light take a left onto I-84 East
Proceed to first exit, Exit 48B (Capitol Avenue)
At the end of the ramp, proceed straight through the light onto Oak Street
Capitol Place is the first building on the right
Parking is located beneath the building

From the South:

Take I-91 North to Exit 32B (I-84 West)
Take I-84 West to Exit 47 (Sigourney Street)
At the end of the ramp, take a left
At the next light take a left onto I-84 East
Proceed to first exit, Exit 48B (Capitol Avenue)
At the end of the ramp, proceed straight through the light onto Oak Street
Capitol Place is the first building on the right
Parking is located beneath the building
